Transforming Workplace Safety: The Intelligent Helmet Approach for Instantaneous Monitoring with Warning System

In work environments that are deemed high-risk, the importance of guaranteeing the safety of workers continues to be a vital concern. Despite the extensive research that has been conducted to investigate the various components of occupational safety, there remains a significant gap in knowledge due to the absence of a comprehensive wearable solution. To address this issue, our study presents the Smart Helmet, an intricate wearable device that has been meticulously designed to enhance safety protocols and provide real-time health monitoring for workers. By incorporating state-of-theart sensors, such as the MQ135 for gas detection, a force sensor for impact sensing, and a pulse rate sensor for health monitoring, along with communication modules like the ESP32 (Bluetooth + WiFi) and GPS, this research fulfills the existing gap in knowledge. The Smart Helmet, which has been designed using SolidWorks, represents a comprehensive approach to ensuring occupational safety, where the efficacy of the integrated sensors is examined to evaluate the helmet’s ability to deliver timely alerts and continuous health monitoring. The primary objective of this research is to make a significant contribution to the improvement of safety measures in high-risk work environments by offering a comprehensive solution for the well-being of workers and the prevention of accidents.
