Locating Switches in Distribution Networks in order to Eliminate Peak load in Energy Management Program

Load shedding is a method in power distribution networks that is used to prevent problems caused by lack of energy or excessive demand for the power grid. When the demand exceeds the current production rate or in the case of a shortage of power generation resources, load shedding can prevent problems such as voltage reduction, frequency reduction, phase imbalance, and even power outages. Increasing information in this field can help improve the efficiency and stability of power distribution grids. In this article, the performance of the distribution network of 33-node has been studied, which includes a diverse set of loads and DG units with different types and sizes. In order to manage energy in the distribution network in this study, with the help of a new method based on repetition and search algorithm, we are looking for the optimal location of switches in the distribution network so that they can shed the demand from the less important lines in a way that have less impact on the more important lines of the network. The purpose of this process is to maintain the stability and efficiency of the distribution network while facing fluctuations and sudden changes in demand or production. It also improves the quality of electricity supply services to subscribers. The simulation results show the effectiveness of the proposed method in solving the desired optimization problem.
