Startup and Sensor-less Drive of Brushless DC Motor for Electrical Vehicles Based on The Line Voltage Difference Integration

This paper provides a method for sensorless brushless dc motor drive, which has many applications in electric vehicles, based on back electromotive force, in this method, the integration of the line voltage difference has been used. Due to the use of line voltage difference, the need for the neutral point has been eliminated and by integrating from it, the 30 degrees phase shift is obtained. Due to the fact that the amplitude of the back electromotive force waveform is amplified in the proposed method, it will make the motor drive perform better at low speeds, and secondly, it can also be used to sensorless startup. Voltage is controlled using an advanced buck-boost converter, this has many benefits, including the elimination of switching noises, simplify the control method and increased response speed. The method is simple and can be implemented with a voltage divider and a processor, to evaluate and validate the proposed method, this method is simulated in MATLAB/SIMULINK and the results are discussed.
