Hospital logistics based on blockchain: A literature review

The objective of the document is to offer a comprehensive perspective on blockchain technology and its potential to transform hospital logistics. To address this, we will conduct a literature review, analyzing articles and publications from data bases such as Science Direct, Scopus, Cairn, Google Scholar, and PubMed. focusing directly on blockchain and hospital supply chain. The results reveal that blockchain technology is a crucial and effective element in hospital supply chains. It ensures better traceability, relevant data storage, and efficient real-time product tracking, thus enhancing hospital logistics performance. In the healthcare sector, blockchain provides data origin, supports real need in healthcare sector demands, and ensures the immutability of transactions occurring in multiple directions. Furthermore, blockchain is still in its early stages in healthcare system, particularly in hospital supply chain.
