Driving Green Innovation: The Nexus of Green Intellectual Capital and Supply Chain Integration: A Comprehensive Literature Review

With growing concern about environmental issues all over the world, companies are pressured to rethink their operations and maintain sustainable practices. At the heart of this change, we find the concept of green innovation, which aims to balance economic developpement and sustainability.Two key concepts are at the heart of Green Innovation: Green Intellectual Capital (GIC) and Green Supply Chain Integration (GSCI).Green Intellectual Capital includes the knowledge as well as the essential skills for sustainable development. Likewise, Green Supply Chain Integration (GSCI) engages collaboration across the supply chain to effectively manage environmental practices. Synergy between the GIC and the GSCI is essential. We assume that green intellectual capital is a catalyst for green supply chain integration, which in turn ensures transparent internal and external collaboration to promote not only sustainable development but also aligns business processes with environmental principles, thereby enhancing green innovation capabilities.The interaction between (GIC) and (GSCI) is examined in this paper, shedding light on their combined impact in promoting green innovation.
