Performance Enhancement of IEEE 802.11 BD Vehicle to Vehicle Communication Based on FrFT-OFDM for High Speed Conditions

A performance improvement of IEEE 802.11bd communication based on using fractional Fourier transform (FrFT) is presented. The Wigner distribution as a powerful tool to analyze the effects of carrier frequency offset (CFO) on the signals is utilized. The proposed idea shows the high-speed conditions that impose a high rate of CFO based on FrFT the performance of IEEE 802.11bd in bit error ratio (BER) can be improved. The evaluation of the proposed system based on simulation is utilized and an improvement up to ten times in FrFT rather than orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) can be revealed.
