Tool Chain for Anomaly Detection in Telecommunications

In telecommunication industry, every day, more and more data has been generated. Efficient handling of huge amount of data has become very important. Big data and data science methods can help in the situation. Anomaly detection is one of the data science methods used to detect patterns and deviations from patterns. In this paper a tool chain for anomaly detection in telecommunications has been proposed and verified through a prototype. Typical daily/weekly workload for the telecommunicating network has been taken as baseline and anomaly detection was used for detection of changes to the expected behavior.
