Intelligent Solution for Monitoring Free Parking Places for Trucks in the Slovak Republic

The monitoring of available truck parking places is a growing issue and an important aspect of logistics and transport. Introducing appropriate and innovative solutions for monitoring free parking places can significantly enhance route planning efficiency, optimize downtime usage, and improve conditions for truck and commercial vehicle drivers. Most importantly, it can lead to enhanced road safety and smoother traffic flow. This paper highlights the possibilities of implementing intelligent solutions and technologies, such as advanced sensor technologies and tailored software solutions, for monitoring free parking places. The research results achieved from the implementation of the case study are presented through the development of a design for an intelligent monitoring and management system for truck parking spaces. The obtained results can contribute to the improvement of the basic condition and safety of truck drivers.
