Factors Influencing the Integration of Robotic Process Automation in Banking

This paper explores Robotic Process Automation in the banking sector. A Systematic Literature Review to investigate the factors that influence the integration of Robotic Process Automation in banking was conducted. The secondary objectives are to explore and investigate theoretical perspectives that contribute to factors influencing the integration of Robotic Process Automation and to explore the challenges, benefits, and application of Robotic Process Automation. The study determined the factors that influence the integration of Robotic Process Automation in the banking industry to be resistance to change, attitude towards new technology, behavioural elements of humans, adoption of technology, lack of technological background, lack of legislation, governance and process standardization, and lack of training and resources.
