Health Monitoring and Fault Recognition of Power Transformer using IoT

Transformers play a crucial role in the distribution and transmission of power. To avoid costly interruptions to power supplies due to faults, it is essential to monitor the health of transformers based on their condition. This paper explores the use of intelligent power transformers, which utilize online monitoring and fault detection technology based on the Internet, to ensure the safe and reliable operation of transformers. The paper focuses on the hardware and software design of an intelligent measurement and control terminal that can monitor transformer voltage, current, oil level, and other state parameters in real-time. The system utilizes the Internet of Things (IOT) to send all parameter values to the designated recipient's mobile phone, enabling quick detection of any issues and ensuring timely intervention.
