A comparative study on the use of various adsorbents for the removal of chromium from industrial effluent

Effluent treatment is one of the most tedious industrial processes and the presence of heavy metals makes it even more pivotal. Comparison studies were carried out for the adsorbents powdered Andrographispaniculata leaves, chitosan, and powdered eggshell respectively. The percentage of Chromium (VI) removed by chitosan was found to be greater than that removed by A.paniculata and eggshell respectively.
