Study on Maximizing Energy Regeneration and Suppressing Pitching of Large EVs

Large EVs are required to maximize regenerative energy to extend a driving range. However, a pitching occurs which is a change in vehicle attitude during braking. Therefore, this study aims to maximize energy regeneration and suppress the pitching simultaneously. In this study, two types of pitching control are proposed; steady and transient state pitching control. As a result of simulation, the pitching is suppressed while regenerative energy is constant.
