Model-Free Predictive Current Control of Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motors Based on Fixed Time Expanded State Observer Using Ultra-Local Model

This paper presents a Model-Free Predictive Current Control (MFPCC) approach based on the ultra-local model. This method only uses the system’s inputs and outputs, effectively reducing parameter dependence in Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motors (PMSMs), regardless of whether the motor parameters match. In addition, to address the limitations of conventional observers in the ultra-local model, this paper designs an extended state observer based on the fixed-time theorem. The proposed observer is unaffected by the system’s initial state, demonstrating a fixed convergence time and superior performance in terms of convergence time and tracking error. Compared with MPCC and MFPCC using Nonlinear Disturbance Observers (NDO), the simulation outcomes affirm the effectiveness of the proposed method.
