Design of Composite Meandering Coils for High-Performance Magnetic Sensing

Closed metal micro/nano coils exhibit excellent magnetic induction characteristics, widely used in magnetic sensor preparation. The detour coil, a special magnetic sensitive coil, typically has weak induction and limited applicability. Further design is necessary to enhance its magnetic induction characteristics. High-quality metal micro/nano coils are crucial for high-performance magnetic sensor preparation. In this study, two types of metal composite circuitous coils with exceptional magnetic sensing characteristics are designed. Through simulation modeling, the coil’s central structure is optimized, with the Z-shaped circuitous coil demonstrating the most significant inductance optimization effect. Additionally, optimizing the Z-shaped coil angle nonlinearly influences coil inductance, allowing for continuous improvement. Furthermore, by optimizing the bimetallic combination, inductance can be increased by three orders of magnitude while doubling internal resistance. This research offers a method to optimize metal micro/nano coil performance, providing a valuable reference for high-performance magnetic sensor design.
