Research on Redundant Control Technology of ±10kV/10MW AC/DC converter

This document studies the redundant control technology of ± 10kV/10MW AC/DC converter and proposes a three-level protection and control architecture of "Main control-Valve control-Gate control". The AC/DC converter adopts two sets of main control devices, namely one main and one backup, which are backup to each other; The software and hardware of valve based electronic devices have redundant functions; The sub units in the converter also use a bypass mechanism composed of bypass thyristor and bypass switch to achieve redundancy in case of unit level faults. The reliability of AC/DC converter in AC/DC flexible distribution network has been enhanced, and the feasibility of redundant control technology has been verified in practical devices and engineering.
