New Flux Principle Topology of Single-Phase Generator with Ring Winding

This article presents a novel single-phase generator utilizing a ring winding brushless generator (SPRWBG) for the electronic power supply system of hypervelocity aircraft. Initially, the electromagnetic topology and flux principle of the SPRWBG are elucidated. Subsequently, the application context and design criteria of the SPRWBG are delineated. Given the three-dimensional nature of the flux path in the SPRWBG, a 3-D finite-element analysis method (FEM) is employed to elucidate the magnetic flux distribution and generation performance. The introduction of this new topology with ring winding primarily addresses the challenges associated with the facile manufacture of micro motors, while also mitigating the high voltage regulation factor to ensure a stable supply voltage range across a wide speed variation spectrum.
