A Review of Envelope Optimization Methods of the Soft-Switching Resonant Inverter

In the last few decades, with the continuous expansion of inverter applications, high performance, high power density, and low loss of the device has become a new trend and hotspot in the research area. This paper briefly addresses the development of technological envelope optimization solutions for soft-switching resonant inverters, which have been taken to optimize the performance of the inverter. A thorough comparison of these technological solutions was made, considering performance, operation frequency, and THD. Further, mixed envelope modulation methods were suggested to solve the inherent existing problems.
