Impedance Modeling and Optimization Method for Inductor Based on Information Criterion

In the high-frequency modeling of passive devices, the characteristics of power inductors’ impedance vary significantly due to the different materials, which brings high uncertainty to the impedance fitting of inductors. The circuit model analyzed using the traditional vector matching method contains a variety of complicated circuit structures with a high order. Therefore, this paper puts forward an inductor equivalent circuit model modeling method based on the information criterion. Firstly, the inductor model’s impedance curves are analyzed, and then the common information criterion is introduced. Secondly, the inductor fitting algorithm based on the simulated annealing method is proposed. Then, the fitting models of common inductors are given and compared with VF. Finally, the method is used to establish the common-mode model of a high-power three-phase EMI filter, and the simulation results have a high consistency with the measured results.
