Deadbeat Control Method for T-type Three-Phase Four-leg Three-level Inverters

Ensuring the stability of the output electrical energy and achieving a fast dynamic response are two crucial technical challenges that require significant attention in the design of an inverter system. The article proposes a new Deadbeat(DB) control strategy suitable for an LC filter T- type three-phase four-leg three-level voltage source inverter(3P4L-3L-VSI). A Deadbeat control method is proposed to regulate the inverter in the decoupled model of the αβγ coordinate system, aiming to provide balanced sinusoidal voltage at the output of the inverter. To validate the effectiveness of the algorithm, a comparison was made between the proposed control method and the PI control method through experimental validation. The experimental results demonstrate that the control strategy proposed in this paper exhibits lower Total Harmonic Distortion (THD) values and faster dynamic response compared to the PI control strategy.
