Modified Strategy of Phase-shift Modulation to Eradicate Transient DC-Bias for ANPC-DAB Converter

With the trend of high power density and multilevel in DC/DC converters, dual active bridge with active neutral point clamped topology (ANPC-DAB) has attracted attention. This paper proposes a modified strategy of phase-shift modulation for ANPC-DAB converter to eradicate transient DC-bias. First, phase-shift modulation of ANPC-DAB and cause of transient DC-bias are analyzed. Then, the modified strategy is introduced, decomposition of inductor current and updating principle of compare values relative to the carrier are discussed. Finally, experimental results have verified the effectiveness of the proposed strategy.
