Regional optimal scheduling of distribution network based on soft open point

The proliferation of distributed photovoltaics and electric vehicles in distribution network (DN) has led to differentiation of the same region, which may result in voltage exceeding the limits and unbalanced branch flow. At the same time, soft open point (SOP) is replacing traditional interconnect switches with greater flexibility and controllability. This paper proposes a SOP based regional balanced optimization scheduling method for distribution networks. In the optimal model, the distribution network division method is proposed based on the sensitivity analysis and system general controllable capability index. An optimization model is constructed to minimize the operation costs within the region while the voltage is within the safe range based on the active and reactive power control of SOPs. The nonlinear factors are converted into linearized based on piecewise linearization and second-order cone optimization methods. The superiority of the proposed method is proved through comparative case analysis.
