A Nine-Switch Converter Implementation for a Dual-Port Direct-Drive Wave Power System

In this paper, a nine-switch converter (NSC) applied to a dual-port direct-drive wave power generation system (DPDDWPGS) is proposed. Through switching multiplexing, the drawbacks associated with the conventional back-to-back converter (BTBC), characterized by numerous power switching devices and high energy multi-stage conversion losses, are effectively mitigated. This innovative approach addresses the limitations inherent in traditional converter structures, contributing to enhanced efficiency and reduced energy losses. Finally, simulation verifications have been carried out to illustrate the feasibility and effectiveness of the proposed topology synthesis method for dual-port direct-drive wave power system.
