Asymmetric and Harmonic Current Suppression of Dual Three-Phase PMSM Based on Double Integral Sliding Mode Control

Dual three-phase permanent magnet synchronous machine (DTP-PMSM) usually suffers from asymmetric and harmonic currents, which lead to power losses and system instability. To cope with these issues, a double integral sliding mode control (DISMC)-based current control method is proposed in this paper, which is designed in stationary reference frame using vector space decomposition (VSD). Consequently, it can reduce the numbers of controllers and coordinate transformations compared to existing methods. It has been proved that the proposed method gives superior performance in suppressing asymmetric and harmonic currents although it has a simple structure.
