Analysis and Control of Partial Power Processing Based on LLC Resonant Converter for Fuel Cells

Fuel cells have become a research hotspot for application in automobiles, locomotives and new energy generation due to their clean and non-polluting advantages. However, a high-power DC-DC converter must be added to regulate the output power and voltage of fuel cells, which increases the cost and reduces the efficiency of the fuel cell power generation system. To address these problems, this paper presents a partial power processing technology based on the multi-mode working principles of a T-type and half-bridge hybrid LLC resonant converter. By using multiple gain switches, this converter enables ultra-wide input voltage conversion and improves system efficiency. The proposed wide input voltage method is verified by simulations and a prototype LLC resonant converter.
