Compact DC Direct Mount Energy Storage Converter Topology and Control Strategy

Large-scale new energy generation has an urgent need for energy storage converters. For high-voltage and large-capacity applications, the high-voltage direct-chain energy storage converter has a good development prospect. However, this energy storage converter has the problems of fixed energy storage capacity and complicated analysis and control of energy storage system. There are also problems of large volume total weight and high cost. In this paper, the multiplexing alternate arm multilevel converter (M-AAMC) can realize the compact high-voltage and large-capacity energy storage converter design. This topology can achieve flexible expansion of energy storage capacity and decoupling of converter and energy storage system. Further, in order to reduce the frequency of the DC direct-hanging energy storage switch, a compact DC direct mount energy storage converter and its control strategy are proposed in this paper.
