Digital Twin Approach for Parameters Monitoring of a Three-Phase Three-Level ANPC Inverter

In this paper, the concept of digital twin is applied to the three-phase three-level ANPC inverter. The parameter monitoring of key components of the 3L-ANPC inverter is realized. Firstly, the discrete digital twin model, including the key components of the 3L-ANPC inverter, is established. Then, based on the external characteristics of the physical inverter and those of the twin model, combined with the degradation characteristics of key components, the objective evaluation function is designed and constructed. An artificial intelligence algorithm is used to update the internal parameters of the model, minimize the objective evaluation function and monitor the key parameters. This strategy can monitor load parameters, thus further promoting the monitoring of power IGBT health status. Finally, a three-phase three-level ANPC inverter experimental platform is built is built to verify the reliability and accuracy of the established model and parameter detection results.
