Anti-disturbance Control Scheme based on Cascade GPIO for Induction Motor

High-performance speed regulation is important for induction motor drives. The aperiodic and periodic disturbances exist in the speed loop, causing speed fluctuations. The use of observers to estimate and compensate for disturbances is a popular approach. However, the observer bandwidth and observation accuracy may be limited by the high-frequency measurement noise of the sensor. This paper proposes an anti-disturbance control scheme based on a cascade generalized proportional-integral observer (GPIO) structure for induction motor to solve this problem. The cascade structure enables precise disturbance observation with smaller observer bandwidths, effectively filtering out high-frequency sensor noise. Simulation results show that this scheme effectively suppresses the excessive amplification of sensor noise while enhancing disturbance estimation accuracy and control performance compared to traditional methods.
