Improved Modulated MPC Technique using the Virtual Vectors by Duty Cycle Reconstruction

The modulated model predictive control (MMPC) technique outperforms conventional single-vector model predictive control (MPC). Nonetheless, inaccurate calculations of vector duty cycle can result in substantial errors in the synthesized vectors near sector boundaries. This paper presents an improved MMPC method with virtual vectors that utilizes duty cycle reconstruction. This approach not only reduces computational complexity but also ensures accurate determination of vector duration, thereby enhancing control performance.
