Topology and Control Design of DC/DC Converters for Urban Rail Transit PV Power Generation System

Direct connection of distributed PV to DC traction network of urban rail transit can significantly improve the power generation efficiency. However, due to large voltage fluctuation of traction network, the converter shall be specially designed. Firstly, an overall study was conducted on photovoltaic modules, converters, and rail transit grid connection modes. Then, multi-level technology and interleaved parallel technology are introduced into the basic topology Boost, and the DC/DC converter topology scheme of two-stagger three-level Boost is selected. On this basis, the reasonable structure optimization and control strategy scheme design of the topology are carried out, and the key points of device selection of the topology are introduced. The topology and control scheme proposed through simulation verification can adapt to the operating characteristics of urban rail contact network, and realize the access and consumption of PV power generation system from the DC side.
