Assessment of POL Technology for SiC-based Integrated Modular Motor Drive Development

This paper presents the design, development and validation of highly integrated high temperature SiC MOSFET bi-directional switch. The integration technology is power overlay, a modern solution enabling at the same time tight control of electro-magnetic parasitic elements and high operational temperature capabilities. The target application is integrated modular motor drives, based on the current source inverter. The methodology includes a mix of simulation and experiment.
