Frequency-Based Coupling Method for Modeling of Mechatronic Machine Axis

To meet the high accuracy requirements of ma-chine tools, models for mapping the behavior of machine axes are becoming increasingly important. The individual machine axes consist of mechanical components and a servo control system. To ensure precision, it is necessary to evaluate the interaction between both components through a coupled mechatronic simulation. Because the measuring systems and the motor are at different positions, a new coupling method is introduced, which takes this into account. Using the overall created model, the disturbance frequency response is calculated. Furthermore, the same system is modeled in state-space representation, and the resulting frequency responses are compared. Moreover, the influence of the control on the system is examined using two examples.
