Analysis and Optimization of Main Design Parameters Affecting the Response Characteristics of High-Speed On/Off Valves

The response behavior of high speed on/off valve is an important factor affecting the development of digital and intelligent hydraulic components. In this paper, we establish a detailed mathematical model of the normally closed high speed on/off valve, and study the sensitivity of the response characteristics of high-speed on/off valve according to the number of coil turns, mass of spool, internal resistance of the coil, and reset spring stiffness. The results show that the number of coil turns, winding resistance and mass of armature have great influence on the opening time and closing time of high speed on/off valve. With the increasing number of coil turns, the opening time and closing time of high speed on/off valve increase; with increasing winding resistance, the opening time extends and the closing time decreases; with the increase in armature mass, the opening time and closing time extend; spring stiffness is not sensitive to opening time, but is more sensitive to closing time. With increasing spring stiffness, the closing time decreases significantly. Based on the above analysis, genetic algorithm is used to optimize the main influencing parameters, and the optimal design parameters are obtained and verified.
