Simulation Study on Impact of Piston Pressure Feedback Orifice on Flow Characteristics of High-Pressure Pneumatic Reducing Valve

In the direct-acting piston high-pressure pneumatic reducing valve (HPRV), flow characteristics are the crucial index to evaluate the performance of HPRV. The piston is the feedback structure of pressure, and the feedback orifice structure under the feedback chamber of the piston affects the flow characteristics of pressure reducing valve by connecting the piston pressure feedback chamber with different chambers to feedback different pressure. In this paper, to improve the flow characteristics of HPRV, the mathematical model of pressure reducing valve with feedback orifice is established and the simulation model is built by MATLABISimulink to research on flow characteristics. The impact of the piston pressure feedback orifice on the flow characteristics of HPRV is analyzed, and the results show that flow characteristics can be improved with the feedback orifice and the optimal diameter of the feedback orifice of HPRV is proposed, which provides a certain guiding significance for the optimal design of pressure reducing valve.
