Design and Flow Characteristics Simulation of Supercritical Carbon Dioxide Flow Control Valve

In order to realize the linear adjustment of carbon dioxide flow, a flow control valve with venturi structure is designed in this paper. The flow area of the valve port is changed by the linear displacement of the conical spool, so as to achieve the purpose of flow adjustment. The internal flow channel and spool profile of the flow control valve are designed and optimized, so that the displacement of the spool is linear with the flow area, which improves the precision of flow rate control. Afterwards, the numerical simulation was carried out on the working characteristics of the internal flow channel of the flow control valve, and the influence of valve opening, inlet pressure, outlet pressure and throat length on the flow characteristics of the flow control valve is studied.
