Study on Dynamic Characteristics of An Ultra-High Pressure Disc Spring Loaded Relief Valve

Disc spring is used in ultra-high pressure relief valve due to its large load capacity in a small space. Aiming at the pressure fluctuation in an ultra-high pressure test system using disc spring loaded relief valve, the AMESim model of the test system is established, the validity of the model is verified by comparing the test and simulation results, and the influence of the structural parameters and combination of disc springs on the pressure fluctuation of the relief valve is analysed. The results show that, with the increase of disc spring thickness and free height, the pressure fluctuation amplitude of the relief valve decreases, and increasing the disc spring thickness can significantly reduce the pressure fluctuation amplitude of the relief valve. The ratio of the outside to the inside diameter of the disc spring used to load the relief valve should not be too small. Increasing the number of disc springs stacked in the parallel direction can reduce the pressure fluctuation amplitude of the relief valve, but at the same time will increase the sensitivity of the load force to the axial deformation of the disc spring.
