High Frequency Assessment of Djordjevic-Sarkar Model for Low Loss Package Dielectrics

Djordjevic-Sarkar (DS) Debye model is one of the most commonly used extrapolation techniques used to predict broadband electrical performance of dielectric materials from a single-point measurement. This paper presents the dielectric characterization of a package low loss material up to 110 GHz using 3 different techniques, and examines how well DS model performs when extrapolated to millimeter-wave (mmWave) frequencies.
