Research and Development of an Algorithm for Multi-Priority Flows in Transportation Systems

In complex queues consisting of resources of different natures, it is possible to select requests that are more favorable for the system at the moment. The classic apparatus allows performing analysis on only one priority characteristic. For queues with several different priority characteristics, an urgent issue is the automation of the formation and maintenance of this queue. This paper presents an automated scheme for the operation of a multi-priority queue in a transportation system, based on comparing requests by each of the parameters and bringing these estimates to a single value. The proposed scheme can be used in any queuing system that has different priority parameters for incoming requests and heterogeneity of serving channels. The performance of the scheme was tested using the example of the Passenger Port of Saint Petersburg "Marine Façade".
