Cepstral Estimation of Audio Broadcasting Signal

The criterion of sound “preference” is becoming more and more popular with the spread of audio processing and compact representation of the broadcast signal. Ultimately it is the listener who makes the assessment of the signal and this subjective assessment determines the popularity of the program. The quality of a real signal is not reflected by measurements based on a limited set of test signals. Therefore, attempts are made to create a model of the auditory analyzer with the formation on its basis of the evaluation of signal distortions noticeable to the listener. Unfortunately, such measurements require refinement in the process of subjective-statistical examinations. It is possible to use additional parameters that allow predicting the preference of the signal for the listener.
