Study of the Operating Modes of a Single-Frequency Ring Fiber Laser with Modified Scheme Parameters

The dependence of the output power of a single-frequency ring fiber laser, operating in continuous mode, on the length of erbium-doped active fiber, which acts as a saturable absorber was investigated. The boundaries of stable laser operation mode without signal distortion by beatings were determined. Operating modes of the scheme were explored using different algorithms for initiating the generation process was given. The generation initiation mode has been optimized to increase the laser output power without losing the quality of the spectral characteristics of the signal.
