An angle measurement method of sum-difference beams for machine-scanning VHF radar

The angle measurement method of sum-difference beams for machine-scanning VHF radar is studied in this paper. The particularity of wide beamwidth and long wavelength of VHF radar is analyzed, and the improvement and realization method of sum-difference beams angle measurement is discussed. On this basis , the signal processing flow to realize the angle measurement function are designed. Finally, the different situations are simulated, and the angel measurement performance of machine- scanning VHF radar is evaluated, and engineering tests are carried out. The simulation and engineering tests verify the correctness and effectiveness of the improved method.
