Comparative Analysis of Power System Oscillation Using RMS Filter, Prony, and Modal Analysis

In this paper, RMS filtering, Prony analysis, and modal analysis are applied to PMU data using a multi - window approach. The detected frequencies are then used to determine the Prony order selection and compared with the frequencies in the actual vibration band. The research aims to validate the reliability of Prony order selection through RMS filtering and evaluate the low-frequency oscillations and damping rates. The results of this research contribute to the understanding and detection of frequency oscillations in power systems.
