Brovey Weighted Mean Fusion-based CNN Satellite Image Classification Model for Ukkadam Lake-Coimbatore, India

The thought-provoking task involves defining environmental land cover change through the lens of information technology in earth sciences. The variations in land covers in the Ukkadam Lake, located in Coimbatore, India, between 2023, and 2024 were examined in this paper. The United States Earth observation satellite images of Landsat-9/8 were used to find the land cover patterns using the innovative Brovey weighted mean fusion-based Convolutional Neural Network model. The land cover patterns were derived and the accuracy of the learning model was achieved with an average accuracy of 95.99%. The results observed in the past (2023), and present (2024) provide clarity to the land resource organizers in making required arrangements for the safety of vegetation from huge loss.
