Dual-Band High Gain Dielectric Resonator Antenna for Millimeter-Wave Applications

A dual-band rectangular dielectric resonator antenna (RDRA) is designed to resonate at frequencies 28.7GHz and 33GHz with a realized gain of 5dBi and 10.3dBi respectively. A high gain is achieved at 33GHz. The RDRA is excited by a rectangular aperture. The efficiency of the RDRA is more than $80 \%$. The proposed antenna is a simple structure and can be used for millimeter Wave 5G applications.
