Research on the Interface Mechanism and Transaction Mode between “Energy use Rights and Carbon Emission Rights” and Green Electricity Trading

Driven by the goal of “carbon peaking and carbon neutrality”, China has remained committed to deepening the reform of institution, accelerated the construction of the market and improved the system of energy use rights, carbon emission rights (hereinafter referred to as the “two rights”) and the green power trading system continuously. As aforementioned, this paper introduces the “two rights” and green power trading model and designs the interface mechanism between green power trading and the “two rights”. Thereafter, a model for optimizing the new operating costs of typical enterprises participating in the green power trading market and the “two rights” market is proposed. Through the measurement and the cost analysis of a copper smelting enterprise in Jiangxi, China, it can be verified that enterprises can benefit from the participation in the “two rights” market and the green power trading market due to the interface mechanism. Thus, enterprises will participate in green power trading actively since the introduction of green power trading on the basis of the “two rights” market. Finally, this paper puts forward countermeasures and proposals for the interface mechanism between green power trading and the “two rights” market.
