Analyzing & Benchmarking Rooftop Solar PV Deployment: Creating an Index for Evaluation

The importance of Rooftop solar segment lies in its potential to transform the energy landscape, offering cleaner more sustainable and affordable energy solutions while contributing to the environment, economy, and society as a whole. This paper presents the qualitative development of a comprehensive Rooftop Solar PV Index framework that employs a design thinking approach to analyze and benchmark the rooftop solar PV sector through the tenets of user desirability, technical feasibility & business viability. The index aims to address the multifaceted challenges hindering widespread adoption of Rooftop Solar PV by incorporating design thinking principles into the creation process.
