Reliability Analysis of Wind Turbine with Dynamic Fault Tree Based on Markov Chain

The traditional fault tree analysis method uses static gates such as “and gate”, “not gate”, “or gate” to model the fault tree and analyze the reliability of wind turbines. However, due to the current iteration of wind turbines, the traditional fault tree analysis method can not accurately describe the relationship between the failures of the components of the wind turbines, and it is easy to cause the reliability evaluation results of wind turbines to be unreliable. Therefore, in this paper, Markov chain and dynamic fault tree analysis method are used to analyze the reliability analysis process of wind turbines. Firstly, the dynamic fault tree logic gate is used to construct the system fault tree, and then the fault relationship of different components of wind turbine is connected by Markov chain and its state transition characteristics. Finally, after the dynamic fault tree is transformed into Markov chain with continuous parameters, the probability calculation formula can be derived according to the state transition graph to evaluate the reliability. The numerical results show that this method can improve the accuracy of dynamic reliability evaluation of wind turbines.
