Passive FBG and Active CWDM Laser Optical Sensors Multiplexed Network

this paper details the implementation of an optical fiber network employing passive Fiber Bragg Grating (FBG) active Laser Coarse Wavelength Division Multiplexing (CWDM) sensors, enabling the multiplexing and measurement of temperature and partial discharge in an underground electrical network. The optical network is performed with standard optical fiber components, specifically ADD/DROP components. We also provide test results of both the sensors and the network conducted in a laboratory setting, as well as in an operational electrical underground network.
