A Survey on Use of Amazon Web Services by Engineering Students

This study investigates AWS adoption in the engineering student community and presents an overview of AWS's capabilities and advantages. It also covers cloud computation platforms and AWS and its benefits to students. To get a feel for how students use and feel about AWS, a survey was administered. The findings indicated that although some students were familiar with AWS, this service was not extensively used. There were several obstacles, such as a lack of exposure to the educational curriculum, a lack of knowledge about the free trial, and worries about fees and improper account management. If these issues were resolved, AWS may be more popular amongst students. In order to help engineering students succeed in today's cloud-based environment, this study emphasizes the need of doing further research and raising awareness about AWS usage within this demographic.
