Performance Evaluation of DFIG Grid Connected System Using SVM-PR Controller

In the last two decade the Indian electricity market had noticed a drastic change in renewable energy generation and its subsequent grid interconnection. It is required to connect quality power to the grid so as to maintain the grid stability and their by helping the substation and as usual as grid to coordinate among themselves during symmetrical and non-symmetrical fault condition. Most of the controller used in grid interconnection uses linear controller technique such as PI controller, PR controller. However, these controllers are not able to meet the standard interconnection procedure to be able to integrate itself to the power system network. In this paper an attempt has been made to intergrade the wind generator by using SVM-PR controller. A MATLAB based modelling has been proposed to design the SVM - PR controller and to investigate the performance of the controller under symmetrical fault condition.
