Emerging Paradigms: Student Perspectives on the Integration of Artificial Intelligence in Education

The integration of artificial intelligence (AI) in the educational process has been a topic of increasing interest and debate. To better understand students' perspectives on AI in education, we conducted a survey of undergraduate students from various academic disciplines. The survey included questions on the perceived impact of AI on various areas, the usefulness of AI in the teaching process, and the advantages and disadvantages of AI in education. We analyzed the survey responses using quantitative and qualitative methods, including Likert scales and content analysis. Our findings suggest that the majority of students believe that AI can have a positive impact on education, particularly in areas such as personalized learning and efficient administrative tasks. Students also identified potential advantages and disadvantages of AI in education, such as the possibility of enhancing student engagement while also leading to a lack of personal connection between students and teachers. Our study provides insights into students' perspectives on AI in education and can inform decisions on the integration of AI in the teaching process.
